Hosts New Zealand humiliated Wales in front of a sellout crowd in the Waitakere sun.

The reigning world champions were a change from the opening weekend but still scored 10 tries with two in Wales.

Portia Woodman extended her championship tally to five, and Sylvia Brunt also crossed twice.

Ffion Lewis and Kat Evans scored for Wales, who are second in Group A ahead of Australia, as the Black Ferns extended their lead.

Despite the result, Wales are still in good shape to secure a place in the play-offs.

The top two teams from the three groups are guaranteed places, along with the best third places.
