Selena Gomez says she’s not here for the naysayers.

Earlier this week, Justin Bieber’s wife Hailey Bieber opened up on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast about the hate she’s received from some of Gomez’s fans since she and her husband first got engaged.

Without naming Hailey, Gomez appeared to respond to the model’s comments during a live TikTok on Thursday.

“It’s not fair because no one should ever be spoken to the way I’ve seen it,” Gomez said.

She called it “ironic” that some of her followers support her Rare Beauty line and Rare Impact Fund, but reject her message of goodwill behind those projects.

“That’s exactly what I want,” Gomez said. “If you accept Rare, I can’t thank you enough, but know that you’re also expressing what it means…and that’s what words matter, really matter. I hope you understand that this is so much more than anything else.”

Gomez and Justin Bieber were together for eight years. They broke things in 2018. A few months later, he and Hailey Bieber, who he previously dated, became engaged.

Hailey Bieber said on the podcast that the perception that she was involved in Justin and Gomez’s split is wrong.

“The perpetuity comes from the misperception, ‘Oh, you stole it,'” he said. “It comes because they wish they had ended up with someone else and that’s fine. You can wish for that all you want, but it’s not like that.”

Gomez called on her fans to be respectful in a 2019 Instagram Live.

“I don’t support women tearing down women. And I will never, ever be in that. So please be nice to everyone,” Gomez said at the time. “It doesn’t matter what the situation is. If you are my fans, please don’t be rude to anyone. Don’t go and say the things you feel at the moment.’
