Tia Mowry has announced her separation from Cory Hardrict after 14 years of marriage

Tia Mowry announced on social media on Tuesday that she and her husband Cory Hardrict are divorcing.

“I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways,” “The Game” actor wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of himself and Hardrict. “I’ve always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain our friendship as parents to our beautiful children. I’m grateful for the happy times we’ve had together and I want to thank my friends, family and fans for their love and support as we begin this new chapter in our lives.”

CNN has reached out to Hardict’s representative for comment.

The dissolution petition filed by Mowry and obtained by CNN cited “irreconcilable differences” as grounds for divorce.

The actor stars in the CW series “All American: Homecoming” and has appeared in several films, including “American Sniper.”

She spoke to Global Grind in 2015 about how she and Mowry met on the set of “Hollywood Horror” and got to know her better after meeting her at a bus stop.

“His sister and him went, saw me waiting and asked me for a ride,” she said. “They gave me the trip and we were friends from then on.”

Hardrict explained that he was a struggling actor at the time, working odd jobs and “doing security on the graveyard shift at Kmart.”

“I was grinding, I met my wife in those days and she was with me when she went out. [the popular television show] ‘Sister, Sister’ [which costarred her twin Tamera Mowry],” he said. “They had everything, the man and I had nothing. I had a studio, I slept in the corner without furniture for almost two years.”

The couple dated for six years and got married in 2008. They are son Cree, 11, and daughter Cairo, 4.
